Hi All,
Just a quick vent!
Bought a new tv from Panasonic store. After first week noticed a dark faint line down the tv, once spotted it really started annoying me.
Rang shop and they came out. Technicians identified problem showing me on tv and changed the settings but it stayed. They swapped for new tv - as soon as one of them turned it on he said this one also has it - but not as bad. I could also see it and agreed its not as bad as original. He said he would inform manager who would ring me as the ultimate decision is with them.
no call that day so i rang next day. He said they have tested the original TV and there is no issue as they cant see it. I explained about the technician seeing it on both - he said they have come back saying they couldn't see anything...... it was him who pointed it out on 2nd tv!!! He said he probably just said it to get out of house quicker.
They now want me to go into the shop and show them the error on the original TV, something I'm not able to do any time soon.

Assuming its LCD, Google 'dirty screen effect'.
Happens on some of the most expensive panels and not much you can do about it.
Saying that, as yours was only a week since you brought it to their attention, they should provide some form of remedy.0
