Financial Help avaliable to current OU students?

Hi Guys!
So I've started my OU course about 4 months ago, which I'm studying full time. I'm just wondering what (if any) sorts of financial support people have been able to receive?
I ask because it seems unfair that I'm not exempt from council tax, like a traditional bricks and mortar uni student would be, even though we do the same number of studying hours and have the same amount of free time for earning potential.
I came to terms with not being able to receive a maintenance loan from the gov't, which was a big hit to my plans tbh.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about other funding options, but I don't believe you are being treated unfairly. OU is specifically designed for part time study, and a part time student at a bricks and mortar university would be in the same position. If you have chosen to study so many modules that it is full time that's up to you, in that case perhaps you should have skipped OU and actually enrolled as a full time student at a 'normal' university.0
