NPM Parking Fine please help

Hi everyone my Dad received a parking ticket from NPM in July 2014. After reading posts in here we ignored it. My dad has now received a NOTICE TO KEEPER dated 13th Jan from NPM advising that he has to pay £100 within 28 days or it will be passed to a solicitor. I have read that they can't get RK details and if a letter is received then they have obtained these illegally. My dad is nearly 70 and in a right state. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What's the full name of 'NPM'?Je Suis Cecil.0

It's Northampton Parking Management LTD0

If you read advice on here you will see that ignoring is not and option in England & Wales.
Read the NEWBIES thread

And there is no "fine" involved.0 -
Does the Notice to Keeper mention that the Keeper can appeal the ticket within XX days? As Northampton Parking Management Ltd are in the BPA this would be the easiest way to get this killed off.
Given it's six months then they may say that the appeal window is no longer an option, but if this really is the first letter you've received following the original ticket (was this on the windscreen?) then that shouldn't be too much of a problem.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
it may be immoral, but its not illegal (unfortunately)
just read and follow the newbies thread, appeal anyway0 -
So sorry but I'm confused as to which template to use. My Dad was issued a ticket but has a receipt from the establishment of the car park involved. Should he send a copy of this and appeal? Are NPM an official member of BPA?0

you can check the BPA website AOS section for clarity on who is a member and when from
the template to use is the main one in post one of the NEWBIES sticky thread, from the keeper, to the parking company
add a copy of the receipt, keep the original safe
send from the Post Office and get a free certificate of posting, keep that safe too0 -
