JSA Rules help please

Morning, I am sure the answer is there but I am so stressed I can't see it.
I know if you leave a job or are sacked there are different lengths of time that you can not claim JSA, could a very kind person tell me what they are please?
Many many thanks

if you leave you can be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks
if you are sacked it will depend on the reason, if you did something that fell into gross misconduct for example it could be treated the same as leaving of your own accord
If the company let you go as they had no work and you had been there under 2 years then there would likely be no sanction
I believe they contact your last employer to ask why they let you go
I think each case for sanction is looked at individually and there is no scale as such, just a maximum length

I think it will all depend on the precise circumstances involved - but in any case you should always claim JSA straight away - any sanction only starts from when you claim, so delaying a claim won't avoid the sanction.

We have recently had to apply for jobseekers. My husband left his job for a number of reasons, negative work place, grievance with his manager, bullying. We have had the ok to receive JSA without sanctions.

Not true, any LV or misconduct sanction starts on the day after the job ended.
