    what about aloe vera, can this help with itching?

    Yes good one rls1973, I used to keep a tube of pure aloe vera gel in the fridge (the 99% stuff from Holland and Barret not the fluorescent green Banana Boat stuff). It feels fab on really itchy skin and doesn't contain anything nasty
