No delivery from Argos waited in all day.

hi folks,
I waited in all day today for a tv delivery from argos, but nothing.
I rang them and they said oh it hasn't reached our courier as yet, but coming in as still in stock.
I know that it isn't in the latest catalogue and to be honest even when I placed order I had the funny feeling they really didn't have it for home delivery, as not in stock in any of the stores, and a day after my order wasn't available for home delivery either. its a 28 inch tv/dvd combo.
Going to ring them again tomorrow, any point I wonder if they really don't have the item, in point out the inconvenience they caused me and maybe get something by way of compensation, like a £10 voucher or something like that?
Maybe not, but If I don't ask then I'll never know.
Anyone else dealt with a non delivery from argos?

Did they actually say it was going to be delivered today? I find companys normally send a 'dispatched' email, so you don't waste a day waiting in for a parcel. Not sure whether Argos do this though.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Argos normally give a day of delivery and the driver will call you on the day to let you know when they will be delivering it0

I ordered a cooker and it arrived but was missing the grill/pan. I rang and complained and they knocked a extra 10% off to say sorry (£30) they then sent the grill out which never arrived on the day it should and i waited in all day so i rang and they knock another 10% off (£30) when it did arrive they never included the grill, When i rang them they said sorry they forgot to add it as it was only down as pan, They knock another 10% (£30) off. I would not mind but they used a service that does not give you a time slot so i had to wait in 3 extra days because of there mistakes. Reward extra £90 knocked of a already reduced cooker brought on store card with a 10% of coupon lol. So complain.Jan Wins: .0
