I'd research the rental market in the St Helen's area whilst doing some research into what being a LL means, join a LL association and possibly sign up to a course whilst I'm at it.0

I know St Helens very well. My friends live there and I had got my own house in Rainhill (very close to St H). It is not as cheap as you think. Houses around St H can go above the million. In St H itself houses are up to 900k. So what are you planning to buy with the 70k and what are your expectations?Anybody bought property in the north west,st helens area??I have about 70k to invest which is in isas,I have been looking at property online in this area and you get alot more for your money than in medway kent where i live.I know rents are lower but just looking for feed back on what you would do in my shoes.

i am surmising that you have done your research, otherwise st Helens seems a random location?
with 70k you could buy two btl's around north Essex (30k deposits) and make a reasonable return, and they would only be 90 mins away?0 -
