    We bought 6 copies of the Grant of Representation when my widowed no kids Aunty died a few years ago - & we still have 5 (plus the original), 30k estate & no Will!

    Only the bank asked for a copy , no-one else was interested. Insurance policies paying out, refunds from energy suppliers, mobile, whopping overpayment on rent etc totalled a further 3K we were surprised they all just handed money over to my Mother on sight of the death certificate.
    Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.
