IJT Direct: no serious problem but slightly odd!

I've previously bought discount inkjets from IJT direct and have always been perfectly satisfied with the goods and their service.
Earlier this month (2nd Jan in fact) I put in an order for a number of cartridges and some photo paper - a rather larger order than before to take advantages of some discounts.
These then proceeded to arrive in dribs and drabs over the course of a couple of weeks. Every day or two a small package would arrive, each containing a couple of inkjets. The last of the batch arrived today.
According to the labels, they have been posted from Hungary. I presume that they've been posted in small doses to avoid customs charges by being less than a certain value (£15 is it?). Although quite why they couldn't have posted them all at the same time is a mystery.
Anyway, this is just a warning. I wasn't in any particular hurry, and was just stocking up, but if you want things more quickly, or all together, it might be worth trying another supplier!

Somebody in this thread had a very similar experience (post #33):

I should have mentioned that I was ordering genuine Canon cartridges, not the recycled ones as I don't really trust those - most of the complaints on that thread are about those. The ones they've sent are fine, and are at a good price but I think their system for delivery stinks. I probably won't use them again, partly because I've now got enough cartridges to last me about 5 years! Wonder why Hungarian cartridges are cheaper than British?!0

A reply not directly related to your post but....I have given up buying inkjet cartridges from this company as their refills do not represent any saving in the long run, particularly if you order sufficient spares that will not be used within 12 months. Out of a batch of 16 various cartridges for different printers, I purchased in September 2013 at least 4 failed to work and I have three left that I suspect will prove useless.
When I first contacted them to seek an exchange within the 12 month period they sent me a support document supposed to help get the ink to flow. This was of no help and unfortunately
I didn't immediately ask for a refund or exchange. Consequently, IJT have now refused to provide an exchange so, 'caveat emptor' - buyer beware! You only get what you pay for and I have come to the conclusion that their refills are a waste of money and the time involved in complaining and trying to exchange them.
As for IJT - they deserve to lose business as a result of their lack of customer support - I certainly won't be buying replacement printers from them or any other of the products that they market.0
