£10 SAR fee?

I am looking into all previous credit cards and store finance, and want to see a list of charges for these. Do I have to send the £10 SAR fee if I only want to see a copy of charges to my account, rather than the endless statements?
I have quite a few and don't want to pursue futile claims.

The DSAR is a record of everything the institution has on you, it is a standard request agreed with the ICO - you can't pick and choose which bits they send you.

Do note, in line with the data protection act, once data is no longer needed (typically 6 years after an account was closed in finance) they delete the data, any old accounts where you do not have a current product with them and where it was closed more than 6 years ago is likely to be a waste of £10 - but that's your gamble to make.
