Yorkshire Bank - "Have been referred?"

Just tried to switch two accounts to two Yorkshire Bank accounts for the 2 x £150 incentives. Everything went swimmingly, very nice man, until he did a credit cheque. He explained this "has been referred" and they will get back to me in a couple of days.
I do not have any loans etc, but I have made a lot of applications recently. Have I scuppered my chances by doing this do you think, or is there still hope?

Depends on the underwriters' decision. I had one referred back in November and it took them 2 weeks to tell me they'd approved it.0 -
Will you get 2 x £150 ? I thought it was one payment per customer ?0

I was referred for mine too. I figured it was because I had opened the TSB accounts a few weeks earlier.
While I did get the account, it made the process a pain. I was promised a call back after 2 days, didn't get one. I called maybe 9 or 10 times to chase it up, but every time was told the department I needed to speak to was busy and there was nothing they could do. It was about 2 weeks from the application before I got confirmation that I was accepted.0 -
The man said I could open two accounts and get two £150 rewards. If you look at another thread, people have bagged several accounts and therefore rewards.0

It probably will be if we continue to discuss it on here! Will you get 2 x £150 ? I thought it was one payment per customer ?
I don't know why people can't just read the incentive T&Cs (taking particular note of what they don't say, as well as what they do say), and just get on with it...quietly.0 -
I did and I have. No experience of being referred, hence the question.0

My comment/observation wasn't directed at you, more at those on the other YB/CB thread.eastofeden wrote: »I did and I have. No experience of being referred, hence the question.0 -
Sorry YB I got out of bed on the wrong side and didn't notice the highlighted sentence to which you referred!0
