God, you guys must get some crap! I know how much crap we get before we transfer on to you.
It's actually not too bad, apart from the few exceptions, the majority of customers are just glad to be talking to someone and mearly make a slight mention to the queue times, I don't know if that is because they have lost the will to live by that stage.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.
• HOORAY! I got a reply from Mr. CEO:

Sorry to see this
I will ask our high level complaints team to sort this

Ben.

And this morning I got a call from "Raj" who politely and calmly sorted my problem!:j He said that the number I'd been given as my property's number was the wrong one, and he gave me the correct one and it's working

Well, I'm very happy now. Still !!!!ed off about all those hours of my life that were wasted, but at least I can get on and organise my wedding now:T

I had no end of problems with BT - broadband, line faults, huge amount building up on account because direct debit was so high, and had the same problems as you-re trying to speak to someone.

got the email address of the chief exec from a very kind person on these boards - emailed him, and a very nice chap from the CEO office called me and sorted everything out in an hour. I also got a credit on my bill for the inconvenience. The email address is ben.verwaayen@bt.com

Good luck

C

Thank you so much for giving me his email address!

Thanks for this advice. I'm trying to get through on behalf of my parents. I've been on for days now - and it's never less than an hour each time. I e-mailed and got a reply back from an Indian chap (it didn't even make proper sense!) and he told me to call an adviser on 0800 800 150! I've had loads of numbers and can never get through to someone to sort it out. I feel like throwing my phone through the window!

Off to e-mail now. Thanks again.
• Just wanted to say thank you to all of you on this thread. I was having sooo much trouble with BT.
Moved into new house 3 weeks ago and have been trying to get phone connected ever since.
Emailed Ben yesterday. Got a response saying high level complaints would look into it.
Got a phone call this morning from Rikka who sorted it. she spoke with the exchange and engineers. I now have my home phone working!! She also said she would refund me 6 months line rental for all the trouble i had with customers services.
Couldn't have asked for a better response.

Thanks again to you all (esp person with ben's email).
