Advice on our energy costs please

So I assume in the year I have used:
Gas: 882over 73 but not over the hill.0 -
No you used 882 cubic meters 9702 kWh.
Thank you. I presume the electric reading is correct?
Based on that I could save £370 by switching to E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year v14 with a direct debit of £79 and a total cost of £939 all in. Does this sound a good deal?
That is based on 9702kWh of Gas and 4791kWh of electric. I just want to be sure ive got my kWh for both correct.
It sounds good to me and a darn sight better than what we are on at the moment, but I just want confirmation from those that know better than me
Thanks again for all your help!

Also, having just logged in to Npower, having submitted an up to date meter reading when I read them a few hours ago, we have now been refunded £900 (says Bill Reversal on the credit note) . It says on the website: This can happen when:
- We calculated your bill using an estimated reading, but later received an actual reading that was lower.
- The meter reading that was submitted and used to calculate your bill was incorrect

Hi,
it's important to always check meter readings anytime you get an estimated bill/statement, and contact provider.
Some folks are happy to get an underestimated bill/statement, but it catches up next time an actual reading is taken, then, of course they are complaining, 'why has my bill doubled?'.
Why not make up a spreadsheet and take weekly or monthly readings to keep track of things.
I take a monthly reading on day my DD is made and know where I stand.0 -
Done the switch to Eon just now so will wait and see what happens now. I'll certainly be submitting regular meter readings in future!0

Hi Netwizard
Thought I'd pop on and let you know that you can do this online if you wish.
Also, by registering the account with our website, you'll have access to a few tools that might help including Real Time Billing. This lets you create your own bills by popping in readings and selecting this option. Or, you can just see the balance the readings would result in.
You'll be able to use the Direct Debit Manager too. This gives you more control over the monthly payments and helps keep you on track to reach as near to a zero balance as possible by the time of the annual review.
Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, you can change the payments by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings. Before putting the change through, we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit if the new amount is confirmed but usage doesn't alter accordingly.
You can register online for the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme as well. We'll be in touch to talk to you about the possibilities. We can also talk to you about saving money by saving energy. Again, there's lots of information on the website to help. When you've a minute, have a look at the Saving Energy pages. Lots of energy saving tips there.
Totally understand how daunting it can seem taking on this sort of responsibility Netwizard so hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more advice as happy to help.
