Reclaim upgraded bank charges >

Ive seen on your site and not sure if I am eligible for the refunds..

I don't exact timeframes but I applied for a loan maybe 3 years ago with NatWest ( I was business/personal banker at time) it was for a personal loan. it was initially approved and I was offered better/preference rate if I upgraded to advantage gold, which I agreed several days later I was informed the loan couldn't be granted, as such I never downgraded from AG account (MY BAD!) ive never used any of the enhanced features/offers. How does the claims go would it be my responsibility to downgrade or could I look at reclaiming my charges. If so I have a 1k overdraft which I couldn service at present if taken away.. I don't use NW for my business any more so it just my personal account .. thanks for help and feedback in this matter

You say you understood and agreed to the change so entirely your responsibility to downgrade if you chose to.
  • You could try and appeal to their better side to see if they'd do a goodwill gesture refund. They're under no obligation to refund anything to you though.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Chances are they would suddenly tell you the OD is being removed and give you notice to pay it.
