Hi,
Can anyone tell me if they've been able to send an email directly to ebay. I simply cannot find a way to. Every time I click on 'contact us' I just get the runaround.
I get pushed onto 'FAQ's. I need to email them, can anyone help please as it's driving me mad!

There are very few options that allow anyone to contact eBay by email- you usually get offered live chat or a telephone number instead. There are also various report buttons.
Is it anything one of the regulars here can help with?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. hopefully someone can advise.
I make cross stitch bookmarks etc on ebay and I make my own designs. I don't own the copyright because I use different images from patterns in books to make up an image, so the overall design of the bookmark is mine.
Someone has been copying my work. Is that allowed. At the very least I think it's disingenuous as I don't copy other peoples work.
I've been trying to contact ebay but there is no way, and I can't afford to be on 'hold' on the phone. Any advice?0 -
The first advice I'd give is that it will be a waste of time contacting Ebay about this.hopefully someone can advise.

You do own the copyright if you are making something out of something else (I'll assume that you have permission to use the other images).
If the person has copied your listing then you can get Ebay to take it down via the "report listing" on the item page. I'm not entirely sure that has happened though and they have just copied the product.
If the latter is the case you'd need legal advice to get the other person to stop selling it. At this stage you should probably send a polite email to the other seller asking them to stop..0 -
I doubt Ebay will be bothered. I had a person who copied my listing word for word and used my photos. I reported a couple of times to Ebay with no response or action.
Additionally as you are selling things for profit, you need to be registered as a business on Ebay and with HMRC. If you draw too much attention to your account, Ebay may start questioning you about this.0 -

Yes, I sent the person a polite email pointing out that I thought it was a bit disingenuous and that I didn't copy her work but she just replied that the images were from a particular book. I replied that I knew they were, but that I made up the new design. However, she didn't reply.
Looks like ebay are a waste of time. It's a disgrace that you can't contact them. so much for customer service eh?0
