Hi Guys, bit of advice would be grateful. I have a 132 A/c and wife has 2, both with £20k.I noticed on their site, that a joint A/c is possible, but with wife already having 2. is it?
Also, unlike last time, it must be a Switch of another A/c, which we have a few, 3 Lloyds old Vantage, sole, in wifes name; or a N/Wide Flexi, already joint, we never use.
Which is best way, IF possible?
got Tesco A/cs to set up DD's

I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed a joint account too. Might as well apply and give it a go.
Why does it have to be a switch?Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

It wasn't,t before, they must have changed the rules ?0 -
As an ex-Santander Employee I know the in's and out's.
When the 123 was first launched there wasn't underlying T's & C's stating a maximum amount of accounts (I came across a woman who had 4 once!), however recently (last year early on) they changed the conditions.
They can't really take the accounts away from you that you already have, however it'll probably refer if you do an application and later decline.
You can now have:
Husband: Sole
Wife: Sole
Husband & Wife: Joint
You're limited to one sole & one joint per customer, no other combinations any more
eg. two sole, two joint etc.
Hope this clears things up. You're more than welcome to apply but I feel it will be an unnecessary credit search that will result in a decline.
HTH,

OK, thanks Alex, thought it might be so, with wife having 2, which I should have got, and plus, Hindsight.:rotfl: Didn't want to spend wasted time on the phone;twotonealex wrote: »As an ex-Santander Employee I know the in's and out's.

HTH,

No point trying, it would make wife 2 sole, and 1 joint, I'm ok 1 sole.
looks like NS&I 65+, didn't want to tie any more up, got practically every thing else.0 -

Wouldn't surprise me if she was one of those MSE multi-accounters :cool:0 -
Hopefully their systems would decline on a 'policy rule', meaning a credit search wouldn't be made.twotonealex wrote: »You're more than welcome to apply but I feel it will be an unnecessary credit search that will result in a decline.
But one (more!) credit search for a current account wouldn't worry me anyway.0 -
It doesn't really bother me a credit search, , and don't need creditYorkshireBoy wrote: »Hopefully their systems would decline on a 'policy rule', meaning a credit search wouldn't be made.

In fact, I've never done a credit check on myself, too busy doing bloody kids and Grandkids.Sorting all their mess, otherwise I would be looking for more A/cs for myself;;That's my first New Year rant over..No more..

You may as well just give the application a go then. Worst case scenario they say no. Best case scenario, they say yes.It doesn't really bother me a credit search, , and don't need credit
