em from skype says I'll lose my current £££s' credit unless I make a call within 6 days.
Then this:
http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/click-to-call/downloading/
-which doesn't seem to function.
I click 'Save File' and nothing happens, rptdly.
Next, if I hit the little cloud symbol at base of screen, skype opens, username is there, enter pw and 'Skype can't connect' comes up.
What next please?

When I try to make a call; directly, as initially asked, a small box says Launch Application, then Skype, then Choose Application, with a drop down list.
I don;t know what any of this means or which to choose from the dropdown list.
When Skype used to work on this machine, I didn't do any of this.
I just hit the little cloud symbol, up popped all my peeps and away we went. This hasn't been so for over 2 years now.

Have you remembered to allow skype.com in NoScript? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Hello espresso - yes, have indeed.
Do I have to keep allowing every single page change? or rather, when I'm 'allowing permanently' as opposed to 'temporarily', I thought this would apply to the site, not just whatever page was showing.
Is this wrong?CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

When you first visit a webpage, you need to decide what to allow and can then make the permissions permanent for the next visit.
When I went to the page mentioned above, I could download the file and only skype.com was allowed, as I had obviously been there previously. The file downloaded almost instantly as it was only 6,613KB. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
OK.
