Internet access at 2 sites

Hi,

Am trying to find the best deal for internet access at 2 sites

I run a business and naturally work both at the site and at home

What if any is the most cost effective way of doing this?

Already have phone lines and pay rental on both lines so is really just the access I need

Regards

Pete

I looked ~6 months ago, the domestic providers don't give any "bulk discount" & you still need 2 line rentals (BT or Cable) anyway.

You will have to pay for two ADSL enabled lines then as it is provisioned on the line and cannot be shared. Perhaps a good reliable one for your business and a freebie/cheap one for home use.

  • If per chance you have Sky TV, you can get broadband for free at home :)

    NOW that is interesting

Have had sky since it all started all them years ago

Always had the full package as well

How do you go about getting the free broadband then...does that also include home phone?

    Regards

    Pete
  • Sky Talk and Sky Broadband is free for current Sky users.

I say free, the basic package is free.

With sky talk basic, you get free (up to 1 hour) calls to all landlines at evenings and weekends. You pay line rental with BT as normal but pay for calls through sky.

With broadband basic I think its a 1 or 2meg connection with a cap. Check the website? They have Sky Basic, Sky Mid and Sky Max. Sky max is up to 16mbps with unlimited usage. Sky mid is 8mbps with 40gb cap.

    I think it goes 2meg, 8meg, 16meg and free, £5, £10 a month.

Maybe a connection charge but there ya go :) Im on max.. a lot of people criticise sky broadband, but since connected I haven't had any major problems for basic usage :) Only random drops which upgrading the firmware on the router fixed :)
