Approximate cost for having gas supply switched back on?

Hi everyone
We're hoping to exchange on a house this week and it looks like the gas supply is switched off (house empty for >6 months..standard practice blah). Estate agents are looking at getting it switched back on, but in case this doesn't happen, anyone know rough cost of having it reconnected? Ball park figure, no idea if different suppliers charge different rates or if its standard

I thought that would be the case, but turns out it has been 'capped off' (whatever that means) by the gas company because there was no activity on the meter for >6 months. Is that the same thing?Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

It must depend on the company, if it has been capped then yes it will have to be re-connected.0
