Set up bank account to switch?

Hi
I was just wondering if anyone knew how long you have to have a current account before you can use the switching service to switch to an account that has an incentive for joining?
I am hoping to set up a new one and then switch it to get one of the bonuses, but not sure how long I'd have to wait in between.
Thanks

Hint: in the switching terms, does it say you have to have held your current account for a minimum amount of time? No? Then why do you ask?0 -
Thank you very much.
I did read through the terms and conditions but it all seemed a bit too good to be true.0 -
I opened up a second account with Halifax, commenced the switch the same day. Neither Halifax or the other bank had a problem with it (not that I told them I was planning to switch it when I opened it etc).Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0
