URGENT help needed with UKPC fines

demonics
Ok I have tried to get as much info by reading through all the posts following receiving a parking fine from UKPC last year.
I have been on several websites who all advised to IGNORE anything that comes through until a friend said to come on here and check out the advice.
Since getting the fine I have had 3 letters from DRP demanding payment, so after getting all the very demanding letters got fed up and sent them a letter which I copied off one of the threads on this forum think it was stage 1 response.
I have since received a letter advising internet templates will not clear this matter up and if I do not or have no intention of paying the sum of £150 with 7 days to contact a solicitor as they will take court action against me.
Have I made things worse by writing to DRP - Pls help!!!

Huff and bluff, was in RED? They cannot issue small claims proceedings, they are trying the threatograms in the hope you will pay them. Some one with more knowledge will be along to advise, there is a whole chain of these in the newbies thread. They worried me, threatened to tell my granny, worried for days them remembered she was dead !0

I wasn't too fazed by it all at first but having received the most recent letter and the way it is worded it has got me thinking as to whether there is any back bone to this one now, also my partner has got a fine with the same company and is worried as we have 2 they will take us to court now to recover the costs even though where the vehicle was parked is on a FREE car park.
Any advice on how to proceed would be most appreciated.0 -
Oh dear you have missed the boat to nip this in the bud by following outdated advice about ignoring the scammers UKPC.
However you should not get unduly worried about Debt Recovery + or their other guise Zenith Collections, they are both powerless muppets who will only threaten you, and if you are very unlucky use red fonts on their laughable letters!!
One other thing, please stop thinking of these as fines, they most certainly are not.
All you can do now i'm afraid is sit it out and revel in the fact this is costing them money to try and scare you, most definitely do not phone anyone!0 -

read post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread, then IGNORE , IGNORE , IGNORE the debt collctors for up to 6 years (small claims court rules)
only worry, or come back , IF you receive an LBC or court papers
did I mention IGNORE being the operative word for these scamsters ?
so the ansrer ? IGNORE , lol0 -
There is nothing urgent about invoices from UKPC, they are a joke.

If PPCs were cars, UKPC would be a Trabant. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Thanks coupon-mad it can be quite daunting getting these letters and im sure you have seen/heard it all before but just wanted some reassurance for myself and partner.
Will post further if ANY real action is taken.0 -
Got a fine of £100. I was not parked illegally or in a disabled space and the photo clearly shows this nor did I overstay. Dont actually know why I got it. My question is if these people send it off to a debt collection agency will this affect my credit score as I'm saving for a mortgage.0

Please start a thread of your own as advice can thn be directed to you and not get confused with the other posters.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
