Communting on the train from Battle, East Sussex into London

Hi all
Does anyone here have experience of commuting by train into London from Battle in East Sussex?
In particaular the 7am direct regular train from Battle into London Cannon Street.
Do you regularly manage to get seats? Or at least manage to get on the train and stand?
We are considering a move to this neck of the woods so would like to know the rush hour train journey situation first from someone who already does it!
Thanks
James.

You're probably best off asking that on RailUK

I don't know that route, but all the trains from the south coast that arrive London around 8-8.30 are busy. I've hardly ever known them to be so packed you can't go on.
Your train has already been through Hastings and St Leonards and Crowhurst before it gets to you so seats might be sparse.
Best solution: book yourself into a Travelodge and see it for yourself

Thanks cookie365, I'll post on there also.
Right now I commute into Cannon from near Dartford and with the changes going on at London Bridge you are lucky to even get into the train doors. I remember similar when I was communting from Didcot to Paddington a few years back.
We are visiting the Battle area again next month and I'll certainly stop by the station on the morning commute run but comment from anyone who is doing it right now would also be appreciated.
Regards,
