Solicitor advice

Unfortunately the insurer's solicitors are also uber slow at moving things forward, not returning emails or call backs, and two months since signing the paperwork and still nothing's happened... even contacted Quindell directly, still nothing.
I appreciate it takes longer for foreign claims, but I haven't even been appointed a solicitor yet. Even the admin team transfers calls that I get cut off on each time. Bloody useless all round!0 -

My insurance was comprehensive with no voluntary excess. It's a default £200 though if you are involved in an accident, regardless of your voluntary unfortunately.0 -

Depends on your circumstances....
If temp repairs can be done to your car and you have the means to do this, you should go down that route to minimise the hire period and resulting charges.
If you literally haven't got a pot to pish in and have no other way of getting about and only have TPFT cover and you NEED a vehicle, then the hire co could make a decent enough argument that hire could continue.
Each case turns on its own facts and circumstances0 -

have you signed a NWNF agreement with Silverbecks? if you haven't then I probably would tell them to forget it and you are going elsewhere.
I suspect there is a bit of chaos going on at the moment with the Quindell empire as it is never out of the insurance and financial news.0 -

Yes, all signed and received by them but zilch more for just over two months...0 -
I would recommend a written complaint by email and post (should be an address on the client information letter they sent you originally), give them 14 days to respond, duly telling them that if they have not replied by 14 days, you are terminating the agreement due to their incompetence and poor service.0

Thanks, I might just do that. Really frustrating though, the insurers and Quindell were really good with the first part of the claim.
At the end of the day I just want to move forward with things, but this is adding more stress than needed.0
