Homebuyers survey report

We are in the process of buying a bungalow and we have paid for a homebuyers survey, privately. As we need to transfer a very small mortgage, (remaining on our current property), our mortgage lenders are charging us £273 for their surveyor to value the property....As the survey we paid for had a valuation included, why can't they use this?.....Anyone have any knowledge of this?

They are two different things. One is a valuation for the banks purpose to make sure they aren't lending more than the house is wiorth, and the other a Homebuyers Report for your purpose.

They want their own Valuation. Undertaken on their behalf, not yours, so that the surveyor is liable contractualy to them.
You could have used their surveyor to do your Homebuyers at the same time as he did their Valuation.0
