Noddle Improve

Just going to put this one out there...
Does anyone know what you actually get for your money with Noddle Improve, and is it worth it?
They promise to improve your credit score - which we know is a meaningless number anyway.
Also if you're concerned with improving your likelihood of acceptance from lenders, wouldn't you be making steps to improve the appearance of your credit file anyway?
It offers advice on the best way to improve your credit rating - surely all the advice I might need is only a few clicks away here, and completely free of charge?
I don't actually understand what people are paying £20 or even £30 for?

Noddle's "score" is immaterial to you as the consumer, as only you and the agency providing the score knows or sees this number, not lenders. At the end of the day, any agency feature related to scores and improving their own internal score is a marketing tool that drives sales for the agencies.
It's more important that the factual information held by the agencies about you and your accounts is accurate, complete and up-to-date. Provided you take the necessary steps, your credit profile and how closely you fit a lender's own criteria will take care of itself. In the event that there are discrepancies, follow up on these, no matter how major or trivial.
The MSE guide on how to boost your credit chances and minimise credit rejection is a good starting point: moneysavingexpert/B].[Bcom/loans/credit-rating-credit-score#boost0 -
OH gets it free because he's an aqua customer. It's pretty handy that it gives you your updated credit report every time you open a new account, (so you can check its accurate more often than every 30 days). That's about it really, that will become less relevant too after he's stopped doing switches.0
