It does look like a possible repo from the photos. But it certainly wasn't built in 1970 as they claim, more like early/mid 1950s at the latest.

EA are under no obligation to list items missing or in disrepair in their RM ad or sales particulars or that it is repossessed.

Yes, we didn't understand the 1970s build either. The one we were going to buy was built in the 50s and is almost a carbon copy of this.

As for not writing anything in the blurb about stuff missing or whatever, I think it annoyed me more as we have viewed other properties with them and they know what we are after.

How annoying, cant see why they wouldnt have made the work needed clear. Its wasting their own time as well as yours.

Surprised at the price £190k for a wrecked ex-council seems a little crazy.

Incidentally did you see Amanda Lamb "Selling Houses" this week in Luton. She mentioned the commuters moving in and the related price rises.

I did see Amanda Lamb. We watched it last night. Should have been called 'NOT selling houses ...'. That show was first broadcast in April 2014 and definitely two of the houses were still on the market a couple of weeks ago. The one with the 'dressing room' on Poynters Rd apparently was taken off the market within the last couple of weeks as the owners had decided to rent it out instead. The one in Putteridge with the studio at the bottom of the garden, is now sold I think, after going through I think every estate agent in Stopsley.

I just spotted it on More4. I did look to see if it was on 4od and I think it was on there.

According to one EA who had it listed, it is SSTC. According to a different one who had their sign out front, the owner had decided to rent it out instead. Who knows?
