Advise on Google Wallet?

in Credit cards
I have a few questions about Google Wallet, looking for people who use it. Not sure what board this should go under, so apologies if it's the wrong one.
1. What are the pro's and con's?
2. Would it be better to use the card in another country for a security benefit? I also have a Nexus 5, so I could use the NFC as well.
3. How is Europe doing with NFC?
4. Does it help condense carrying so many cards? I have 2 debit cards (one I only use when needing to deposit cash which I don't even keep track on how much is in it) and 3 personal credit cards.

Google Wallet is US only so I doubt anyone on here has any experience of it as this is a UK site.0

I got one of those free barclays bpay bands, took out the cardboard chip and put it under my phone cover. Cheap way of doing mobile payments, anywhere that has wireless payments will work (up to £20)0

Are you referring to the NFC Google Wallet, or the online payments system Google Wallet? The NFC version is not yet available in the UK.
Only real options in the UK at the minute are contactless cards, bPay band, or a BarclayCard Tag (if you're a BC customer).Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
I would wait until NFC payments become more mainstream.
I have used the google wallet app in the UK, through various means like hacking/rooting the device and using an US postal address. Problem being though, my bank often blocked my card which resulted in lengthy phone calls to unblock it.
Another problem with the NFC based wallet apps is you can't get cashback at present. I'm not certain if this is all apps/cards or just the one I use (EE cash on tap).0 -
The Tech forum would the the better place for this IMO - Google Wallet isn't a credit card in its own right and its use is still a purely academic matter in the UK0

Though I'm not a big fan of it (have stopped using it) there is also EE wallet or whatever they call it, on certain phones, quite good in a way but I prefer traditional bank service on this kind of thing, maybe just a little too new for EE to deal with when I had it0
