Combi boilers

As my 8 year old Ferroli F30 is counting its last days, I'm in dilemma what to buy next. Everybody recommend the most popular one ( and the most expensive), Valiant, Worcester etc. Some of the cheaper brands are offering 5 years guaranties and I wonder if any of you have installed recently boiler worth of recommending . Thanks

Even though modern boilers do not last as long as the older ones, 8 years is quite young for a boiler to completely die and not be repairable.

Is it just your own opinion that it needs replacing? Have you had a gas safe engineer tell you this? If so, have you had more than one opinion?

    What are the symptoms?

Everything pointed to main PCB, I bought new one but it wasn't PCB, then I bought a gas valve ( on their technician advise) and it works but stops after a few seconds and starts up immediately and it goes on and on like that. I guess I would need to buy another part to sort it out and nobody guarantee that will work properly again and I already spend good money for parts and labor....
  • 8 years is good for a Feroli boiler. Next time buy a Worcester.

My Vaillant combi was still going strong after 15 years when I moved a few years ago. Totally reliable

They would definitely be at the top of my list based on my experience.

It's a shame we are all electric otherwise it would be my choice again
