Hi Everyone I have recently claimed PPI for Barclays successfully. I have since looked into my egg card (Barclay card) I went through the exact process they have admitted ppi from 2003-2010 and all the details were the same. I got a refusal saying I applied for the card on line, I swear it was on the phone and to contact the Ombudsman ... please can anyone advise if this has happened to them and they challenged this with success ... how can I move forward, please advise

Paul - you get 6 months to refer to the FOS from the refusal letter.
If the bank's records show you applied online and ticked a box to say you wanted PPI (as opposed to a pre-ticked box you had to opt-out of) then your memory of applying on the phone is not reliable evidence - unless you can prove you applied on phone then all you can do is refer to FOS and hope for the bestSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
