Parking sensors will sometimes fail to pick-up posts and low walls.
I bought a kit from a mate who had ordered 3 off ebay (1 took so long to arrive, he thought it had got lost, so ordered another).
He had fitted 1 kit to his (then) g/f's car as she was forever backing into the fence when parking-up, 1 to his car and I fitted the 3rd to my Berlingo.

My kit (unlike the other 2) tells you how close you are getting to the object behind and as I have a towbar fitted, I aim for no less than 0.3m.

They are handy to have, but please don't use them as a replacement for the usual observations.

Parking sensors don't always work, many a parking ding has been caused by people relying on them.

Park further from the shop, in a nice remote space, the walk won't do you any harm.

You seem to be attributing parking nearer the shop/too lazy to walk with fewer parking errors?????

How bizarre a conclusion is that!

I park 46736473624732864 miles away from the shop doors but I still need to stop before i hit the wall when im parking - luckily i have front sensors to help me judge that which i find a great help especially since i now have to wear glasses for driving, which are brilliant on the road but which give me a terrible perspective for parking (i now take them off during parking)
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
  • If you add parking sensors you also need to inform your insurance company as it is a material change to the vehicle.
