Does anybody know if I can change a Natwest Basic account that is in my name only, into a joint account at a later date and add my husbands name to it?

I don't know the answer to your Q but please search the forum for "joint account" before you open one.0

I don't need to know the pros and cons of a joint bank account. We have one already with another bank and have done for the last 18 years. We are currently in the process of changing banks to set up a DMP and I have manged to get one with Natwest but apparently to get a joint one takes a lot longer, so I just want to get the DD's transferred over from Lloyds ASAP and then add hubby on to the account at a later dateThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Face to face a joint account would take little longer than a sole account. But yes, someone can be added at a later date.0
