When was my property built? - House Insurance

Options
How can I find out when this property was built?

I have the official copy of register of title infront of me, but what do i look for? theres nothing in here that says in black and white "built in ..." or something. There are many dates but not sure where what they mean. I know the first one is when the property was registered.

for this example http://www.johnpye.co.uk/wp-content/...r-EX852057.pdf
where does it say when the property was built?

I have gone to the council asking for original planning permission date, but not received a reply.

Need this info for house insurance purposes.

Thanks in advance once again. Great help, for newbies like me.

You don't need an exact date. Just 1920s, 1890s, 1750 or so, would do.
  • The problem is I don't even know a rough date.

Moved in last year ... So its not something we (or grandparents) built kinda thing :/

Not got contact for the previous owners to ask them either so i'm stuck with paperwork which I don't know nothing about lol. It has dates on but just don't know which one is the one I need as it don't say in black and white built on or something lol. Why do they make it complicated for no reason ha.

The mortgage advisor bought it for us last year. But he put 1960 ... I'm starting to doubt it as all the dates i've seen on the paperwork are not near it and also he put 5 bedrooms ... rather than 6 but that's another story (and another thread).

So I just want to see the date it was built for myself and make sure that it's correct thats all.

Did you have any kind of survey done?
Often says like a 1980s built semi
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥

    As above, check your survey.

    Ask neighbours.
  • You can go to the local library and check the historical ordnance survey maps.

Find the first map with the house on it.

I was able to do this online, I found a historical map site. It had maps from 1890 and 1900, and the house appeared in between, so I had a date.

Our deeds have the date the land was bought and the year the house was built. Your deeds must have something similar - what's confusing about all the dates?
