    I'd avoid claiming if you can.

    Increased premium likely outweigh any settlement if you have to pay £350 already
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • There were no apparent injuries at the scene, and at < 5mph I am not sure how injured one can get! But this is one reason I thought my insurer ought to know straight away - there was also a minor passenger.

    He has informed the insurance so any increase in premium will happen regardless of a claim.

    But surely if the third partly do claim, then even if my repairs are £351, by claiming, I have saved £1 with no effects on future premiums, as they've already been negatively affected by their claim?
