MSE energy club

I have had a "switch in progress" from EDF to First Utility for over 3 months now. No idea what is going on, thought this club would make things easier, but I am looking at having to ring the companies direct. Any one else had ridiculous switch times?

I requested to switch from Scottish Power to Co-op on 11th January through MSE Energy Club, haven't heard anything since. Not sure what to do now. Moving from Scottish Power due to their awful customer service but not sure whether Co-OP are any better given the delay, or is the Energy Club to blame for the delay?

I moved in December through MSE Energy Club. I received emails from the new supplier (Scottish Power) and was asked for a final reading and have since had a credit refund from the old supplier (Ovo Energy) all within a month. But my Energy Club account still shows 'switch in progress'.

I joined MSE cheap energy club last week and applied to switch from Npower to Eon, I got an email yesterday saying:

We've received an update that your recent switch application to E.ON has not been successful. The reason given is that you're already being supplied by E.ON and this wasn't indicated on the application form.

I'm confused as I am definitely with Npower, I rang Eon and they confirmed they don't have me on their system.

The email states that the reason given is I'm already supplied by Eon, I'd like to know who has given this reason?

I have replied to the email and also sent a further two emails to MSE CEC but all I get back is an auto reply email, not very helpful really.

I think I'll cancel the cheap energy club account and use a different site to make the switch as it's clearly not working for me!

    Hi Rob

I thought I'd drop you a note to explain this for you...

The reason your Energy Club account still has the status ‘switch in progress’ is because we’ve not yet had an update from your supplier.

It usually takes around 12 weeks for suppliers to send this over, so we’d expect your account to update in a few weeks – you don’t need to do anything for this to happen, it should all happen automatically in the background.

As soon as we hear back, we'll drop you an email to confirm this.

    Hope that helps.

Hi Von - sorry to hear that you've not had an update. Assuming you've had a confirmation email from Energy Club, the best thing to do would be to contact Co-Op directly for an update.

Hopefully it'll be able to explain where things are for you.

    Hi Dan
Received my email yesterday from yourselves to advise switch complete. Any idea when my cash back will be paid.

Hi Mable - cashback is normally paid within a week of us receiving this update, but it might already be in your account (reference to look out for is EnergyClubCashBk).

Hi Mike - the reason for your switch cancellation was provided to us by Eon. We've flagged this to it and are awaiting further feedback on the issue.

Sorry that things haven't gone too smoothly.
