Don't replace it QUITE yet! Nvidia's GTX 960 is minutes away from launching - should see some price drops on £130-170 cards starting later today/tomorrow.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

Thanks for that! We can't replace yet as we still don't have the refund, but will keep an eye on prices! We're looking at an R9 280 or 280x, since the 280x seems to perform about as well as a GTX 970 but is substantially cheaper. Will take a look at 960 benchmarks (and prices!) before we buy though!
EDIT: no, no, no, I mean the 280x competes with the GTX 770, not the 970. Clearly need more coffee.0 -
Ebuyer did this to me with a faulty iPad (6.5 months old)
I contacted them, assured I would received a replacement only to be fobbed off with a partial refund. Had I went directly to Apple I would have received a refurb replacement. Again, PayPal payment so I couldn't get a card company involved, I have a suspicion they wouldn't have done this had I paid by credit card.
I have no real issue with this sort of practice as long as its made crystal clear at the time of opening an RMA and not in the form of an Email after they've received the item back.
I avoid Ebuyer now.0 -

As do I, i used to routinely spend £6k plus a year with them. Now i dont, specifically because of them stuffing me over with a dead hard drive. Cheeky to charge me for the 'usage' of a product that failed at its intention and lost my data.0
