I am single and finding it difficult to get a mortgage!
All i want is a property, 1 bedroom with a private back garden that allows a medium size dog. (any property type, except studio flat).
I have tried private renting but nowhere allows dogs in my 15 mile radius.
I cant go on counsel housing as they advised me to stay living with my parents.
Please can i have some advise:D:D
- I take home £1100.00 per month. & i can do as much over time as i like.
- I have £5k in my savings.
- I have been credit checked and i have no problems regarding this.

How much do properties of the type you want go for in your area? Have you had a look around at what is available?
While you do your research, I would do as much overtime as you can and get your deposit up, you will also have all sorts of fees to pay out so you will need cash to pay for these.0 -
You have 2 problems, finding a property you have described for £65,000 and then getting a mortgage.
You need to find a property first then apply for a mortgage, use an Estate Agent for the first and mortgage broker for the second.
Good luck"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -

What is your current debt?
£1100 x 12 = £13,200 NET - I am sure you will be able to borrow more than 2.5 times your GROSS salary...more information required."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -

I have looked at help-to-buy, so i need to only put roughly 70-80k into the property.
but i have heard that it is NOT a good idea??
I have been doing over time and I am expected to get about £200 extra just this month so i will continue to do this and i will once i have the property anyway which I have explained to the banks. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Only option is to save for the next few years and build on your £5,000. Maybe put it in Premium Bonds and hope you get a good month !"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
