Question. Switched via MSE Energy Club to E.oN?

I have just used the MSE Energy Club switching process for the first time. How long will be it be before I hear from E.oN? I would like confirmation of the contract and tariff before the end of the cooling off period. Thanks

Hi Hengus
We've recently put in place a faster switching process. Changes of supplier will now be done in about two and a half weeks or 14 calendar days cooling off plus 3 working days.
Now, at the start of the cooling off period, we'll send the Welcome Pack. This will have details of the tariff and contract you're looking for.
We'll be in touch before the account goes live to ask for meter readings. We'll use these to open your account. We'll also send them to your current supplier so they can close their account to the same readings and issue a final bill. If you've registered with our website, you'll be able to pop them on there.
Faster switching started on 7 January 15 so, if we received the application after this, you'll benefit. I'm afraid I know very little about what happens at the CEC end though. Best to contact them direct.

Glad you've had the welcome email. No need to apologise for not updating the thread; it's my fault for not replying earlier.
The aim is for gas and electric to have the same supply start date but, to be honest, there are still things going on behind the scenes to bring this about.
Previously, it wasn't unusual for the two fuels to switch on different days but this is something we're working on. The gas coming through an IGT won't affect this.
