self locking upvc front door

Hi I have found the following thread which i believe would have answered my question however the answers aren't showing.
Does anyone know the answer to the original question?

In that case you're looking for a split-spindle door lock - these normally (though not always) have a pad handle on the outside, and when the door is closed you will need the key to re-enter from the outside.
Note however that the door does not automatically engage the full multi-point lock system, you must still raise the handle and turn the key in order to "lock" the door properly - say when leaving the house or overnight. Personally I still always lock the door properly, having installed the split-spindle to ensure that if we forget to lock it, at least somebody can't just walk straight in off the street.0 -

I believe the door manufactures call it a lever/pad lock and that is what we have on our main front door and when it is closed it is what i would call on the latch where it is not locked but you cant just push the pad down and walk in
we have the normal lever/lever lock on our back door0 -
