help needed with painting and zinsser bin!

I recently moved into a property and previous owners were heavy smokers so I covered the kitchen wall in Zinsser bin which seems to have worked a treat.
My OH then painted the ceiling and left marks all away around the walls as he couldn't be bothered to do it properly and cut in!
There were thick lines around the walls and when I tried painting over them you could clearly see the lines still so I sanded them back to try and blend them in a bit.

I then painted the walls with a white basecoat but its now had 6 coats and where I've sanded a yellow is coming though... I couldn't work out what this was until I painted over a smaller patch on the wall with Zinsser as I'd missed a patch when I did it the first time and realised the yellow that's seeping through is exactly the same colour as the Zinsser bin!
I have tried going over it again with just white matt but no matter how many coats I give it the walls just get whiter but the yellow bits just stay as they are and it looks awful!
Any ideas how I can salvage this please??
