Birmingham Runner (prob about 25 mins from Tamworth) on the Stratford Road in Hall Green on the edge of Solihull/Bham have a treadmill in the shop where they will watch you run, video your running style if necessary and recommend a particular type of trainer. Changing type of trainer cured my knee problems. Once they have recommended, you don't have to buy there, but they do have fantastic after-sales service - a friend of mine once took back about 6 different pairs of trainers because they weren't right for her and they changed them no probs even though they had been worn. Now that I know what type of shoe is right for me, I often buy from www.mandmdirect.com or look at the shopping section on www.runnersworld.co.uk for offers
  • Thanks,

I got some from Sutton Runner in the end and they seem to be fine but when they wear out I'll check out that place.

the reasoning behind it(i think) is the ipods use hard drives but the nanos flash memory.
apple fearing warrenty claims fro dead ipods!
main issue for me is non compatibility for my ipod remote using the plus set up
  • You defo don't need to buy Nike+ trainers. In fact I would always recommend that you get your running shoes fitted by a running shop. It's really important that you get your gait assessed to check that you don't need anything to correct the way your foot hits the ground, if you don't you could end up with big joint probs. I have used it for just under a year and I just velcroed the sensor to the tongue of my trainers, works great. Keep the receipt though as I'm just about to buy my second as my sensor battery has already died and you can't replace them.
No reliance should be placed on the above.
