How to improve credit score without Luma/Vanquish etc

Just checked my score and am quite surprised it's not as good as I thought it was, I don't think I will get a Luma/Vanquish card and don't want to apply and get rejected just in case it does appear on the report.
The only line of credit I have is my phone (Due to be finished this March) and after that is finished then I will get a PAYG phone deal.
Is there any way I can boost my score? I'm already on the electoral roll and my NatWest current account is at my registered address.

The score is pretty irrelevant.
Have you always paid the phone on time? Are you on the electoral roll?
The only way to improve your crddit history is to have some credit. And subprime cards are usually the easiest to get.
I'd look at the mse eligibility checker to get an indication as to how likely you may be accepted for vanquis.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
