What am I allowed to blank out on this, if anything at all?

Whatever they allow you to. There's no general rule about it.

There's not much they can actually do with merely your account number and sort code anyway.

They need to see bank statements to crunch some figures.
A guarantor with not enough money to pay the thing they want guaranteeing is not much use to them anyway.
I do Contracts, all day every day.
  • Thank you for all the feedback guys, I guess I'll just roll with it.

DRP: I'd have done that with my bank but it needs to be in tomorrow and I'm working all day tomorrow.

It turns out blanking things out is very difficult. Been trying for 30 mins to do so but none of it turns out correctly.
Could you stick some paper or use a marker pen over the bits you wish to hide, scan it and print?

I agree with the other though that you might be better off reconsidering this scheme. If you look at other threads guarantors may not be valid if the guarantor agreement is drawn up in a specific way. It seems they are often incorrect so that may save you if you go ahead.

I'm guarantoring fors dad (he has the printer to print it off), the person I'm guarantoring for as well as the letting agent all seeing my bank balance along with the sort code and account number.

Why would anyone other than the LA need to see your statement? Go to the dad's house and print the statement for yourself, then take it to the LA, no need to show it to other people.
  • It's because I work full time and it had to be done today. I work day shift, her dad with the printer (who also lives an hour+ away) works night shift but basically it was all a last minute cluster !!!!.

The guarantor letter isn't worth the paper it's printed on anyway and it will probably end up being a moot point since she keeps being rejected over people who are working.
