Phillips TV

Suddenly my TV has started changing its picture format. When I switch on, it momentarily starts on Widescreen format, then after a few seconds changes itself to Subtitle zoom. I change it back to widescreen via the appropropiate button on the remote ( top row, second from right) and it is OK then, until I turn off, then back on again. And so it starts all over again. Any idea why it's doing this & if there is a way to correct it?

  • Hi,

well I don't know what model you've got, but generally it would be,

    menu/tools/settings > picture > display settings.

Thanks but mine doesn't have that kind of menu, it's about 6 yrs old now. Just the basic menu I'm afraid.

Thanks for your help. The TV seems to have cured itself. After 5 days of " misbehaving" it has stopped changing its own format. I havn't done anything different so I am a bit perplexed what has happened. But I'm glad it has resolved. Thanks again.
