Car not starting, low oil level?

Oh dear you actually ran it with the warning light still on, one knackered Fiat Panda!!!!
that was last winter. Drove over 100 miles with it on ( after topping up as light was on) and was confident that it would go off the next day, which it did.
car is fine, had a corsa before and I never put oil in except when it was serviced so I have been spoiled, it never went down. This one needs an extra litre a year to the service, about every three months a quarter of a litre bottle. I just checked and it was middle to low so I put some in.
As I do very low mileage I am surprised I have to top up at all :rotfl:.0
