Freeview tuning

Hi, Ive had a little trouble setting up my freeview/video tuning. Has anyone had this problem. I have a fairly complicated set up I suppose, that is I have freeview, video then a splitter going 4 different ways to various tv's. When I tune the tv to the freeview, there is no problem. I have all the channels, on the AV channel. When I try to select BBC Itv,ch4 & ch5 independently, they are all ok except ch4! I cant seem to tune that in on the tv at all. The video will tune into ch4 but the picture is rubbish, ie lines across the picture. I dont know if its something to do with the setup on freeview. I think we have it tuned into channel 38. Can anyone make head or tail out of this problem. When I had ntl cable, I had a similar setup as this with no problem.
Heres hoping :

Are the outputs from the freeview box or video tuned to the same as analogue Channel 4 is received on? Even if you use Scart leads there is also a tuned output.0

Most likely is that the video channel is close to channel 4 on the aerial feed..
On the back of the video there should be a channel adjustment screw or switch. It may even be in the menus to change the output channel..
Try taking the aerial lead straight to the tv ( not via the video ). If channel 4 is ok , then that is the problem.. If its not ok , take the freeviiew box out of the chain ( just the aeriel lead - you can leave scart leads connected)
If you have one of the rare Freeview boxes that outputs through the RF ( aerial) lead too, the problem could be the freeview box. Yet again you would have to change the output channel on this item ( either adjustment screw/switch on the back - or a menu option to select output channel).0 -

Interesting one that Simes, I will check that out. I forgot to mention in the original post, that Iam rigged up with rf & scart leads. Also Andy 88, going from memory, the original channel when you first tune the f/v box in, was ch42. I changed to ch38 for the reason described above0 -
In case you need to check the analogue transmitter channels (though I should think you've already done this)

Found the problem, Ithought it was the freeview box but it was my video and scart set up! I never gave my video a thought, but the video was set up on ch 28 (I think) Any way it was the same channel as ch4. I reset that at about ch46 (well out of the way of ch4), I gave my scart set up a thourough going over. I had a couple of these the wrong way round too. I have a scart change over box in the "loop" & a dvd too. Its like armageddon behind my tele, so I hope i dont have to route around behind there again in a hurry. Thanks everyone for your input

Hi
There is a big sound difference between analogue TV and digital tv. The digital tv through the AV channel seems quite low, I have tried setting the volume level on the AV channel to max but it doesn't make much difference. Is there any thing can be done to improve this, as switching between analogue & digital channel required big volume adjustment each time.
