the traditional meaning of fac in the mac community is Follower and Consumer, but then of course you would say thats total tripe, and make me own up for the typo that it is, and indeed i meant to say a Mac FAN. :A

Still doesnt get me my USB drive any quicker though, but it sure passed the time :T

Yes 66 MP3's is a mistake, 4 gig would give you capacity to store approximately 1000 songs.
    You're my wife now!!

You're saving £1.99 on postage and packing by buying from Aldi but dvd.co.uk stock Sandisk 4GB USB Keys for £16.99 too - see here.

This drive would be too slow for me for the size.

My advice would be that once you get to large storage like this 4gb pen drive then you need to start thinking about speed.

My Corsair pen drive is pricier then this but twice as fast. Some Corsairs are three times as fast and it does make a big difference.
  • As someone said earlier, when you're talking 4GB you want quality, not just a super low price (although quality only costs a few pounds extra) MyMemory: www.mymemory.co.uk/ do a good range of brands (San Disk, Kingston and Toshiba) at £17.99 for a basic 4GB flash drive, more for fancier ones (waterproof and things like that!). Another advantage of buying these is that some (which will be labeled U3) will include software which can be run directly from the drive (you can set that up using Portable Apps: http://portableapps.com/ which is free, but not quite as easy as when it comes on the stick for you!)

Another place to check is Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/203-5180865-4861
    522?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=4GB
    +Flash+Drive&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

Looks like you can get a big brand for about £16 + postage (if it's sold directly by amazon and costs over £15 postage is free, if not it'll be £2.75)

    Anyway, good luck moneysaving!

And don't forget to use the £5 Amazon voucher from the tips email.(http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=511296)
  • You can get these on a regular basis from 7dayshop.com for £17.99:rotfl:
  • I went to Aldi this morning at 10 am. They said they'd had 50 in and had sold out!
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.
