First time Disney Florida holiday

This will be our first time we are going on a family holiday to Disney and am looking at the best possible package. We will be going 1-15 Aug 15. Having looked at package holidays , villas and flights/ tickets, Zi was wondering where do other people book for their holiday for flight/ accommodation and tickets or do you go package via travel agent.
There will be 2 adults and 2 10 yr olds. Def want Disney parks and not too fussed about Bush Gdns. Ideally flights direct from any London airport.
With so many options out there we are starting to confuse ourselves!
Thanks for your help.😀

i'm in a similar situation, looking at end of August, the Dibb is really helpful for planning an Orlando trip -

and the UK trip planning forum on the DISboards too -

i think we'll be going indirect, and won't be booking a package.0 -
One thing is for certain you will not get bored!
The best advice I can give you is not to try and do everything in one holiday - you will be knackered.
We used to do a park one day then had a leisurely day next - park next day off etc.
Have a great time.0 -

I agree doing park after park is very tiring so plan some down time - perhaps at one of the water parks.
The parks are huge and you will walk miles without realising it.
I have taken my kids several times and always gone on indirect flights as cheaper and never booked a package there are tons of hotels and bargains to be had - i usually prefer one with hot breakfast and waffles option to fill up on for the day. We have usually stayed in the pointe orlando area of international drive which has always been nice easy to get on the trolley bus too.“What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it.
