We've been to southern Brittany before and know all the obvious sights like Concarneau and Quimper but I'm just wondering if anyone has a favourite place to visit around there?

Yep, been to Brittany, and stayed near Benodet, at Beg Meil. Pleasant enough little village. The best excursion was to see the Tour de France which zoomed past a few miles away (that was a little while ago) - of course this is no use to you now.
Have heard that Audierne is a pretty little fishing port. Worth looking into ?
PS The Rough Guide to Brittany & Normandy is worth looking for - often in the cheap bookshops (even the library!). Forums on Virtual Tourist and Trip Advisor might get some useful info too.0
