Dependent?

Hi,

If wife works on a 0 hour contract but cant be used for affordability, would she be classed as a dependent despite 7 months wage slips? Mortgage with Woolwich.

Thanks all, stressing about this somewhat.

So if I have 1 child, wife on 0 hour with 7 months payslips then I assume that would be classed as just the 1 dependent?

    Be a relief if so....Thankyou

Have you made her second applicant with £0 income?

Full application appointment next week, think its going to be a stretch to be honest and so a little anxious.

I don't know to be honest how she will be entered or what is likely to be better for affordability.

Im hoping your going to say that means she has a "income" thus not a dependent.

I'm trying to figure out how you're trying to do this.

If the current mortgage and property is in joint names, you would normally do a joint application. With your £27k and her £1,056 it's coming up not affordable on the Woolwich calculator (£130k over 25 years).

I would imagine without her £1,056 with you as a sole applicant, it still won't work.

I was just trying to see if I could get it to fit.
