LAX transfer

I am travelling Heathrow-> LA and then changing planes to Nadi, after a 3hr 30 wait. The ticket is Air New Zealand all the way, but Fiji airlines are running the second flight.
Does anyone know:
Will I have to change terminal?
Will I need to clear US immigration? (I have applied for an ESTA just in case, but am concerned about queues etc.)
I'll probably be glad to stretch my legs, but are there any tips for how to pass time in LAX?

Can't answer the other questions but the link below shows that Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways both use Terminal 1 at LAX.

You will need to clear US customs and immigration at LAX as well as collecting your bag and checking it in again. This can take a lot of time although 3hrs 30 is a comfortable connection.
You should be able to check in and get boarding passes for both flights at Heathrow. So once you have cleared Customs and Immigration and collected your bag, follow the signs for flight connections. There'll be somewhere to drop you bag off and then you go back through security into the departure lounge for the onward flight.
As agrinall said they fly from the same terminal so relatively straight forward. There's a good chance that a large chunk of that time will be spent clearing customs and immigration though!0
